Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player within music in the Latin mainstream. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. In Medellin the year of Medellin, the Sony label La Industria Inc. released ADN his first long-player. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 in the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year he joined Ozuna on their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He collaborated with Noriel for Mala Influencia in 2020 and the following year came out with his second album, the charting Dopamina. In 2021, he appeared in a duet with TINI on her streaming smash single Maldita Foto. A 2023 release of 2000 featuring the mega-hit La Bachata. Turizo was born into a musical household his mother and older brother are musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music is compulsory. In his early years, he learned to play the saxophone and as well as piano and ukulele. He initially wanted to be an vet but when his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend lessons with the help of a Cuban musician, he rearranged his career plans.
