Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress, best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. She was first known for her role in Tezaab from the 1980s where she co-starred with an established actor Anil Koopor. Then, she starred alongside Aamir in Dil. In her early years, the Mumbai-born dancer began learning at an early stage. When she was still in high school, she attempted acting, however most of her early movies were unsuccessful. Then she found her feet and became one of the most prominent actors in the Indian film business. Following her marriage she had a break in her career before re-entering the industry. In recent years, Dixit played a significant role as a character in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Padma Shri - the fourth most highly regarded civilian award in India is awarded to Dixit. Her reputation also includes for social activism.
